Eagle on a Mission I played tour guide today with my niece Jeanne and her husband David to several eagle nest locations around Kentucky Lake I caught this Bald Eagle as it heads on what I assume is a hunting mission after leaving it's nest off of hwy 917 at Lake City, Kentucky on October 24, 2020. Out of the three spots we visited this was the only location we found eagles. However, it was during midday, when they normally are out hunting. Fall Reflections A bald eagle rests among dead tree roots at Duncan Lake, in Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky on a beautiful fall evening on October 7, 2020. Duncan Lake is located off road 132 from the main road through the park and is open for access till November 1st of each year. Duncan Lake is located off road 132 from the main road through the park and is open for access till November 1st of each year. It’s closed to access during mating season and opens back up on March 15th.
