November 15, 2014 – I found this lone tree just off of Casky Lane in Hopkinsville, Ky when I was out searching for trains. Just liked how it looked and haven’t done a landscape photo in awhile. When out searching and looking for pictures keep an eye out for the simple things!

November 13, 2014 – CSX 3142 leads a mixed freight train under the North Main Street overpass as it heads north on the Henderson Subdivision.
November 13, 2014 – A late evening freight, with CSX engine 5316 on point, creeps along as it approaches Hybird crossover at Evansville, In on the Henderson Subdivision.
November 13, 2014 – Dusk falls on CSX Q029 (Chicago, IL (Bedford Park) – Atlanta, GA) as it prepares to head south at Hybrid just south of Evansville, IN with a loaded stack train on the Henderson Subdivision.
November 13, 2014 – Headlights reflect on the rails as CSX Y102 pulls out of Howell Yard in Evansville, In as it heads north, passing an inbound tank train.

November 13, 2014 – A CSX freight heads off the main into Atkinson Yards at Trident A to pick up some cars at Madisonville, Ky on the Henderson Subdivision, with engine 3142 in the lead.
November 13, 2014 – CSX Q688 passes through Mortons Junction as it heads south on the Henderson Subdivision at Mortons Gap, Ky.
November 11, 2014 – A CSX engine 4044 smokes as it is serviced at the CSX facility at Atkinson Yard in Madisonville, Ky on the Henderson Subdivision.
November 11, 2014 – CSX Geometry Train, W001, heads south on the Henderson Subdivision just south of Romney siding at Mannington, Ky with engine 6025 on point.
November 11, 2014 – CSX Q514 passes through the switch at Arklow in Madisonville, Ky as it heads north on the Henderson Subdivision.
November 10, 2014 – Finger Lakes Railway’s GMTX 3303 sits at CSX’s engine service facility at Atkinson Yard in Madisonville, Ky after being dropped off by Paducah and Louisville Railroad. The engine is out of the VMV shops in Paducah. It’s a SD 38-2. It is awaiting a CF400 inspection before heading out on the Henderson Subdivision. The inspection is to check the clearance of the engine to insure there won’t be any issues with moving it on CSX. Finger Lakes Railway is located in Geneva, NY and so I assume this engine will move north at some point over the next few days. It does have the GMTX lease markings so I am guessing they’ve leased the unit.
August 30, 2014 – Paducah and Louisville engine 3806 makes a light engine move through Richland, Ky heading south.
August 7, 2014 – Two CSX trains meet on the outskirts of La Grange, Ky, one with Kansas City Southern’s 4681 as the trailing unit.
August 7, 2014 – Looking south toward the diamond at “F” Tower in the “Iron Triangle” at Fostoria, Ohio as trains work in yard.
August 29, 2014 – A Sperry Rail Service inspection truck makes it’s way northbound, passing the signals at Earlington, Ky on CSXs Henderson Subdivision.

WWII Veteran Arthur Yarbrough
Been editing portraits for my upcoming exhibit at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts which opens on November 11th. It’s been a real honor to photograph some of my fellow veterans! The exhibit will be black and white portraits of 100 Veterans that live in Hopkins County, Ky. Mark your calendar and join us at the the reception on November 11th at 6pm CST in the Anne P. August 8, 2014 – CSX engines 460 and 233 take the northwest transfer track off the Pemberville Subdivision (Ex C&O) as it moves west toward Chicago, IL (on the Ex B&O) at Fostoria, Ohio.
August 26, 2014 – CSX executive passenger train P928 heads north on the Henderson Subdivision as it heads into Nortonville, Ky, after passing through north Romney, with engine 9998 on point and 9999 as the trailing unit.
