This is by no means a complete list, but the ones I’ve found that I like so far. I’ll add others as I find them.
Amqui, TN – This is the location where CSX’s Mainline and Henderson Sub Meet – Nesbitt Lane, Amqui, TN
National Cemetery, Gallatin Pike South, Madison, TN – CSX runs through the Cemetery
CR Drawbridge, 2nd Street – Downtown Nashville – Best shots are of Southbounds as they’re coming toward you at this point. No public access to the other side of the drawbridge.
Fogg Street, Downtown Nashville – Nice spot, but be aware that the Salvation Army shelter is close to here so I don’t suggest railfanning after dark without friends.
Tennessee Central Railway Museum, Hermitage Ave, Nashville, TN – Their Website is: http://www.tcry.org/
Bridge Overpass north end of Radnor Yard, Melrose Avenue, Nashville – Safe walkways on both sides of the bridge. Southbound side views the yard. Some powerlines in the way, but not too bad.
Bridge Overpass South end of Radnor Yard, Harding Place, Nashville – Walkway on North side of Bridge looks back north into the yard. You can photograph the hump yard activities here.
Franklin Pike Circle, Nashville, TN – Nice spot to catch trains entering and leaving the south end of Radnor Yard
