A three-way meet at the north end of Cedar Hill, Tennessee

Crews on CSX W991-29 and E305 do a roll-by inspection during a three way meet with hot intermodal Q029-07 at the north end of Cedar Hill, Tennessee as it heads south along the Henderson Subdivision, on December 5th, 2020.

W991-29 is carrying a GE high and wide load on GECX 021155 Heavy load, 16-axle, depressed center flat car, which is owned by General Electrical Gas Turbine division. The car is 147 feet 10 inches long and the load deck length is 38 feet according to what I find on the web. It Was built in May of 1995 and is used to transport heavy gas turbines built by General Electric. A Kasgro Rail Corporation (KRL) caboose 072 brings up the rear with a full crew. The caboose and engine crews kept a close eye on clearances as they made their way at 25mph!

Photography/Art Challenge – Day 9 of 10

Day 9 of 10 – Photography/Art Challenge

My Railroad Photography as Art

My niece Kelly R Gates has nominated me to share my artwork for 10 days and to nominate another artist to do the same. My take on this challenge is to create what I consider photographic Art pieces from some of my railroad photography.

Now, I realize there are now AI programs out there these days that can create just about any type of art pieces for you with just words, but as most of you know I’m a visual person and all the pieces I post over the next 10 days will be created in Photoshop by me from photographs I have shot, not with AI Software.

I know that this type of art isn’t for everyone, but I do like to get outside the box and my comfort zone from time to time, as I think it’s good for my creative eye. I’d appreciate your constructive thoughts and comments!

For today’s digital photographic art piece, I’ve selected this shot of A three-way meet at the north end of Cedar Hill, Tennessee.

On Day 9 I nominate fellow railfan photographer Blair Kooistra to share his art (whatever type he wants to share) ~ I know he has plenty as he hopefully joins in on the 10-day art challenge!!!!
