January 5, 2015 – CSX engine 724 pulls a loaded coal train through into the siding at Kelly, Ky as it makes it’s way south on the Henderson Subdivision.

January 4, 2015 – A Norfolk Southern ribbon rail train sits in the yard next to Paducah and Louisville’s 4511 at West Yard in Madisonville, Ky. Not sure why it’s there, but it is pointed toward Paducah, Ky and has been there since early this morning. It hasn’t come by my house in Richland, Ky yet so it hasn’t moved as of 3pm this afternoon.

January 2, 2015 – FURX engines 3036, 3035, 3044 & 3033 and 3084 along with CITX 3084 and CSX 2519 sit at the engine service facility at CSX’s Atkinson Yard at Madisonville, Ky. I suspect the lease units will be moving onto the Henderson Subdivision once they’ve been inspected, but don’t know when or in what direction they’ll move at this point.
December 31, 2014 – Went out today railfanning with, Ryan Scott, a friend from Princeton, Indiana to show him some of my favorite shooting spots along the Henderson Subdivision when we caught Q210, a empty autorack train passing the old L&N Depot at Hopkinsville, Ky heading north. It’s pretty rare that we get autoracks, empty or otherwise, through our area so it was a nice catch!
