July 27, 2014 – iPhone Challenge – Different view
We stopped by a local fast food place for lunch today after church and after we finished eating I was working on getting a shot of her for my daily iPhone challenge and held my iPhone low and close to the ground and shot up at her looking over the edge of the high-chair.
She looked over the side to see what I was doing and I caught this look and gesture as she tried to reach down and grab my iPhone.
When shooting pictures always look for different angles as they will help to add impact and make your pictures more interesting.

July 26, 2014 – iPhone Challenge – Breakfast
Today’s iPhone challenge picture is of my niece Elaina as she enjoys her breakfast of “Fruit Loops” at my nephew, Colt and niece, Katie’s house in St. Louis.
I love the look on her face! She had just woke up and we sat her down at the breakfast bar and gave me this look.
I kinda figured something like this would develop and so I was sitting across from her with the iPhone ready to take pictures when they sat her down for her breakfast, before we headed off to the zoo.

July 25, 2014 – iPhone Challenge – High Climber
Today’s challenge photo is of my nephew Kenneth as he worked on scaling a climbing wall during our visit to St. Louis today.
I can still remember being able to do things like this in my younger days and I’m proud and impressed that he’s adventuresome enough to do something like this.
He’ll be a senior in high school this year, he’s a member of the ski patrol where he lives and an avid snowboarder! I’m going to have to get out there during the winter someday and get pictures of him in action! An amazing young man!
That’s something we all should do when we’re shooting pictures… capture you family doing the things they love!

July 24, 2014 – iPhone Challenge – Super Wayne
Today’s iPhone challenge picture was shot while I was covering the local fair for the newspaper here in Madisonville, Ky.
This is Super Wayne! He’s a fixture here around Madisonville and tonight he visited the fair dressed as Superman and I caught this vivid shot of him on the midway at dusk.
The colors and him holding the cape out really help make this picture.

July 23, 2014 – iPhone Challenge – Photograph what’s in front of you
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our daily lives we think that it has to be a struggle sometimes to find a picture to shoot, when sometimes it’s staring you right in the face.
This shot was of the chef yesterday that was preparing our Hibachi Grill food at Mt. Fuji, a local restaurant here in Madisonville, Ky. My nephew Kenneth has been here visiting for the last week or so and has been wanting to go to lunch or dinner here because he loves Sushi and it’s about the only place in town that serves it.
As part of the show our chef pretends to put out a towering onion fire and which adds interest to the picture.
When working on a year-long photography project the simplest way to get your picture is to photograph the things or people that are right in front of you as part of your daily travels.
By the way… the food was outstanding!
