September 10, 2016 – A southbound intermodal leaves Radnor Yard in Nashville, Tennessee as it passes CSX E320, an empty coal train, waiting to head north and onto the Henderson Subdivision after clearing Nashville.
September 9, 2016 – A Music City Star commuter train with engine 121 (F40PH), sits along the river front in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, with the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge lit-up in the background.
September 10, 2016 – CSXT 592 leads a CSX intermodal southbound off the CSX CR Drawbridge at Nashville, Tennessee on the Nashville Terminal Subdivision. This shot is kind of a milestone for me. It was shot with my new Fuji X-T1 mirrorless camera and a Fuji 18-23mm lens. I’ve been considering purchasing a mirrorless camera for quite sometime and I found a deal at Dury’s Camera in Nashville on a mint used one that I just couldn’t pass up. This is the first photo I shot with the camera and I’ve very pleased with the results I have got so far! Look for landscapes and other photos shot with it over the next few days and in the weeks to come. Still have my Nikon D800 and still shooting with it, but who knows what the future holds! September 7, 2016 – RJ Corman Railroad 3863 and 3813 arrive on the Memphis Line at Guthrie, Ky with a load of freight for interchange with CSX.
September 7, 2016 – ElectroMotive (EMD) SD70ACe – Tier4 locomotives 1609 and 1610 sit in CSX’s Atkinson Yard at Madisonville, Ky after delivery by Paducah and Louisville Railway from the Mayfield shops overnight. The engines were scheduled to move south to Nashville where they’re expected to continue their test runs between Nashville and Cincinnati.
September 4, 2016 – Paducah and Louisville Railway 2110 heads up the local as it passes the PeeVee Spur switch, just south of PAL’s West Yard at Madisonville, Ky, as it makes it’s way north.
August 20, 2016 – Canadian National 8934 brings up the rear end, as a DPU, passing the Princeton, Indiana depot, as it heads east on a Norfolk Southern loaded coal train.
August 24, 2016 – Union Pacific’s 4801 heads up a empty coke train as it moves north on the Paducah and Louisville Railway at Richland, Ky on a hot summer afternoon and apparently their air conditioner wasn’t working very well.
August 23, 2016 – Norfolk Southern, NS 1067 (EMD SD70ACe), the Reading Lines Heritage Unit, leads a loaded coal train as it heads south off the White River Bridge at Petersburg, Indiana on the Indiana Southern Railroad.
August 20, 2016 – CSX E050-16 coal train approaches the station at Princeton, Indiana, with a set of Union Pacific engines leading the way, as it heads north on CSX’s CE&D Subdivision. The depot was built in 1875 and has been beautifully restored and is the only remaining depot structure in Gibson County. It once housed the C&EI and L&N railways and is now home to the Gibson County Visitors Center and features a railway museum with a restored train caboose.
August 20, 2016 – The last light of sunset falls across the top of Norfolk Southern Railroad 7627 and 9825, on the DPU end of a loaded coal train waiting to head East from Princeton, Indiana.
August 22, 2016 – Norfolk Southern Heritage Unit 1067, “Reading Lines” heads south on CSX’s CE&D Subdivision, out of Sullivan, Indiana, to Oaktown, IN to pickup a load of coal.
August 23, 2016 – Norfolk Southern 9065 heads east at the middle of the Princeton, Indiana yard, passing two loaded coal trains waiting to head out, as 9065 does yard duties.
August 23, 2016 – Norfolk Southern, NS 1067 (EMD SD70ACe), the Reading Lines Heritage Unit, pulls south, next to Indiana Southern Railroad’s 3383 pulling on the local at ISR’s Ashby Yard in Petersburg, Indiana. It then backs up and hooks to the local and takes both trains to the NS yard at Oakland City, IN.
August 23, 2016 – Norfolk Southern, NS 1067 (EMD SD70ACe), the Reading Lines Heritage Unit, leads a loaded coal train as it pulls south across the White River Bridge at Petersburg, Indiana.
August 22, 2016 – Norfolk Southern Heritage Unit 1067, “Reading Lines” makes makes its way south through Carlisle, Indiana, on CSX’s CE&D Subdivision, to Oaktown, IN to pickup a load of coal.
August 22, 2016 – Norfolk Southern Heritage Unit 1067, “Reading Lines” makes on the Indiana Railroad as it approaches the connection at Sullivan, Indiana to CSX’s CE&D Subdivision where it continued south to Oaktown, IN to pickup a load of coal.
August 22, 2016 – CSX Q028 (Atlanta, GA – Chicago, IL (59th St) heads through the siding at Carlisle, Indiana with its high priority intermodal train, passing Q515, as it heads north on the CE&D Subdivision.
August 23, 2016 – Norfolk Southern, NS 1067 (EMD SD70ACe), the Reading Lines Heritage Unit, leads a loaded southbound Vectren coal train across NS line at the diamond on the Indiana Southern Railroad at Oakland City, Indiana.
