12.03.13 Christmas-Dicks Place

December 3, 2013 – This month’s photographic challenge topic is “Christmas.” Today’s picture is of Dick Dodds, right, helping Pat Walters, to fine tune the focus on one of his lenses. Dick, a member of our local photography club has offered to do this for free for paid club members of the club as a Christmas gift and Pat was the first to take him up on his offer… I was second. Please feel free to share!

This image was shot with my Nikon D800. Exposure info: 1/60 sec f/7 at ISO 2800 with a Nikon 18mm Lens.

December 1, 2013 – This month’s photographic challenge topic is “Christmas.” I used my iPhone to capture this photo of my nephew Damion trying to figure out what was hanging on the end of the pews at church today. Last Christmas he wasn’t quite old enough to realize what was going on. Please feel free to share!

This image was shot with my iPhone 4S. Exposure info: 1/17 sec f/2.4 at ISO 400 at 35mm.

11.30.13 Dark-Alley Light

November 30, 2013 – This month’s photographic challenge topic is “Dusk to Dawn.” I liked the streetlight in this alleyway for the last picture of my downtown series. Kinda looks like a star in the West leading me into my next challenge month where the theme is “Christmas.” Please feel free to share!

This image was shot with my D800 on RAW. Exposure info: 1/6 sec f/5.6 at ISO 500 with a Nikon 18mm lens underexposed by 2 stops (exposed for the light).
