October 19, 2015 – Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railway 488 and 484 sit outside the engine house at Chama, New Mexico after their last day of scheduled passenger service for the year. If you’ve never been here, put it on your bucket list! One of the most railfan friendly steam operations I’ve ever been to.

According to Wikipeda: The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad (C&TS) is a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow-gauge heritage railroad running for 64 miles (103 km) between Antonito, Colorado and Chama, New Mexico, United States. The railroad gets its name from two geographical features along the route, the 10,015 ft (3,053 m) high Cumbres Pass and Toltec Gorge. The boxcars are from a minor derailment a couple weeks ago that derailed four cars that did damage to the the tracks and switch. This week our church is having bible school and the theme is “Shipwrecked” and he just had to wear his pirate gear! I asked where his eye patch was, and he said he couldn’t find it. As I was leaving the Catfish Harbor restaurant today I spotted their room divider all compressed up and grabbed this interesting pattern shot. It takes me back to the month-long series I did a few years back on shopping carts! If you want to challenge yourself with your photography, then pick a subject and shoot a photo a day for a month! It’ll help with your creativity and seeing!

It makes me smile!!! A bit overkill, but I guess it works! Find some humor in your pictures from time to time. Your viewers will thank you for it!!

What started out to be a puppet show changed because he couldn’t find socks with faces on them.

: July 11, 2018 – Day 254 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Speedboat Submarine – I came in this afternoon for a water break from working in my yard and I found these two setup like this in the living room! I asked them what they were driving, and Damion said it was a submarine and Elaina said it’s a speedboat! So, here we have a “Speedboat Submarine!!” Gotta love kids imaginations!!

: July 10, 2018 – Day 253 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – A different game – Today during lunch with our local photography club Damion decided to create a different kind of game with the jumping game at Cracker-barrel. I captured this shot using the front facing camera from the table level to give it a bit more impact! The flare on the lights was a nice surprise!

: July 8, 2018 – Day 251 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Light Man – Grabbed this shot of Damion last night in a kids funzone type place with glow in the dark lighting. We were celebrating he and his sister’s birthday, and he had all these glow in the dark rings on so I snapped this shot of him clowning around and calling himself “Light Man!” Not perfect quality, but, the moment makes it!!
