October 1, 2018 – Day 336 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – My Helper – My niece Shutterbug Journey gives me a helping hand (keeping me company mostly and coloring) as I work on updating our church website this morning at First Christian Church here in Madisonville, Ky, while waiting for her Mamaw to get out of a circle meeting.

September 27, 2018 – Day 332 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge -B&B Motors – I love old buildings and signs such as this place in Lake City, Ky that at one time was a thriving busy business, but today is nothing more than a shell of what it used to be. Time marches on!
September 25, 2018 – Day 330 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Sad Day – Today was a sad day here in my household as we lost our cat Socks, of 10+ years, to some sort of infection that we have fought over the last 6 weeks or so. It’s always hard to lose any family member, including pets, but some things help make it a bit easier such as my niece and nephew here. Elaina drew a picture of cats (the circled one is Socks) to act as his grave marker and Damion made a time capsule as ways of honoring his passing. Damion, who cried when mamaw told them on the way home from school, also told me that he’d say a special prayer for Socks at his LOGOS youth group meeting at church tonight. Elaina of course asked if our other cat and her favorite, Tabatha, was going to die also and so we had a good chat about the subject and how everyone and everything has their own time and not to worry because Tabatha was very healthy and wasnt going anywhere for a long time. Life moves on!

September 23, 2018 – Day 328 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Lights with a story – This afternoon I attended the West Area All Disciples Sing at the First Christian Church in Mayfield, Ky. This is the chandelier that hangs in the center of their sanctuary. When the church remodeled the sanctuary some years back they bought it from an antiques dealer because it closely matched on the hung in the church in its early days. According to the dealer, this chandelier hung over the swimming pool in the home of singer/songwriter Roy Orbison. In any case, it fits nicely in my ongoing “light” series!

Sometimes pictures just happen this way!

With the help of antibiotics, it was back down to normal today and he seems to be feeling much better.
