April 29, 2018 – Day 181 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Damion and Wolfie – All of us had a favorite toy growing up, even if we don’t remember today what it was. Damion is no exception! Hands down, his favorite is “Wolfie.”

April 28, 2018 – Day 180 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Tanks – While out chasing trains with a fellow photographer Ryan Scott we came across several good black and white photos, but this one took the prize!! The light reflecting off the shinny tanks at the Mead-Johnson Plant at Evansville, Indiana and the repetition of the tanks make this shot!

April 27, 2018 – Day 179 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Jump – Under the watchful eye of his instructor Damion and his fellow Little Warriors run through some jumping drills during Karate practice this afternoon. Another use of leading lines! They’re everywhere!!

April 25, 2018 – Day 177 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – UP – Looking up can always provide some interesting views! For today’s picture I stood inside a power transmission tower and pointed my iPhone to the sky! Look for different angles to shoot your photos as it can help add impact to your pictures! Of course it helps to have interesting shapes and angles as well!

April 24, 2018 – Day 176 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Jordan – My nephew Jordan is always good for a great picture! He’s such a cut up and loves life!! Unless things aren’t going his way, as with most 3-year olds! LOL Photos of your young ones making faces and being kids are one of the treasures you’ll cherish in the years to come. Make sure you capture them!

April 23, 2018 – Day 175 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Evening Light – I pass this scene pretty much every time I drive home or head to town from my home. Today the light was simply breathtaking, and I had to stop and capture it! I utilized the video mode to capture this photograph, so I could use the full capability of my iPhone 7 Plus sensor.

April 22, 2018 – Day 174 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Buddy – Buddy spent the weekend at our house as his mom and dad were out of town. He gets along really well with all the kids in the family as they’ve all grown up with him as they visited their grandma and grandpa’s home. Photographing your little ones with family pets will always give you a good picture!

April 21, 2018 – Day 172 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Meeting Abe – Today I took my nephew Shutterbug Jayden to his first Civil War Festival where he was so excited and recognized Abraham Lincoln and wanted his picture taken with him. He says it’s the first President he’s ever met! Always oblige the little ones in your life when they ask you to take their picture!

April 20, 2018 – Day 172 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Blue Belt – Echoing yesterday’s statement that there’s never a dull moment with the little ones in our family! Today’s photo is of Damion with Eric, his Sensei, after breaking two boards, at his Little Warriors Karate Blue Belt ceremony yesterday afternoon. I’m not totally sure which is the kid here! LOL

April 19, 2018 – Day 171 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Flagpole – There’s never a dull moment with the little ones in our family! Elaina came into my office to show me her flag and so I asked her if I could take a picture and this is the result!!! LOL Some days are like this and you always need to be ready to capture the moment with the little ones in your life!

April 18, 2018 – Day 170 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Karaoke – Elaina loves the Elsa Karaoke machine that her mamaw bought her, even when drinking her chocolate milk! Now she goes around singing all the time! Perhaps a star in the making?

April 16, 2018 – Day 169 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Glasses – Elaina commandeered my reading glasses today during lunch, which always makes for a cute picture in my book!

April 10, 2018 – Day 162 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Ta Da!! – My niece Elaina definitely has her own style! Today during lunch with several members of our local photography club she was being herself as we were waiting for the check to come when she kept jumping out from behind my chair and doing this Ta Da! I had been trying all morning to get her to stand and let me get a good shot of her and her outfit and it just wasn’t happening! Sometimes it happens like that. You’ve just got to be patient and let the picture happen. This was way better than if she had just stood for me to take the picture when I asked earlier! I’d make the “Punky Brewster” reference here, but most younger photographers probably wouldn’t know who I’m talking about! LOL

April 9, 2018 – Day 161 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Airborne! – My nephew Damion does a jump during his Little Warriors Karate Class as some of his classmates take their own stances as if it’ll give him a little extra help! Indoors and low light can make shooting action difficult when using your iPhone. Best thing I’ve found is to use the burst mode and try to catch the peak action. Either way, any picture is better than none! Shoot!!!

April 8, 2018 – Day 160 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Kids will be kids – My nephew Jordan makes one of his classic faces Sunday as we were getting ready to leave church. Sometimes it’s best to let kids be kids when you’re shooting their picture! Can make for some fun, memorable and great picture times!

April 7, 2018 – Day 158 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Lamp Light – Stopped by Fazoli’s for lunch today and found this light against a black background which I think makes for a nice photo! Keeping your pictures simple and easy to read will help make them stronger!

April 6, 2018 – Day 157 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Elaina Cat – My Elaina Cat caught squeaker!!! My niece Elaina loves cats and has earned my pet name for her which is Elaina Cat! This afternoon she walks into my office with her toy rat, yes toy rat as she really loves most all animals. I asked if I could take a picture of her and “Squeaker” and this is what she did!!!

April 5, 2018 – Day 156 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Markers – Well it’s been almost a year since my brother Davie passed from this world to the next and we’ve finally got his estate settled and today his and our brother Eddie’s markers were placed over their ashes. Both served in the Army during Viet Nam. Proud of them both and glad the winter weather has passed enough that we could get the markers placed next to our parents. Photograph life, sad and happy!

April 4, 2018 – Day 155 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Wolfie is found!!! – After several months of being lost Damion’s sister Elaina found his favorite stuffed toy called “Wolfie.” It was under their dunk bed here at the house and we now have a very happy Damion!!!
