Ethanol Train Meet at Mortons Junction
BNSF 6357 heads up loaded ethanol train CSX K707 as waits on the Earlington Cutoff at Mortons Junction, as empty ethanol train CSX K423 heads north on the Earlington main, on the Henderson Subdivision at Mortons Gap, Ky.

Northbound Ballast Train
CSXT 5201 leads J009-12 as it waits on the south side of CP Anaconda at Robards, Kentucky with a loaded ballast train, as it waits for a signal to continue north on the Henderson Subdivision on October 12, 2020.
It was headed north to Henderson, Kentucky where it dropped this load of ballast along the River Branch at Henderson, Kentucky.

Northbound!
CSX hot intermodal Q026-11 (Jacksonville, FL to Chicago, IL) passes the old Louisville & Nashville Railway Depot, as it rolls through downtown Madisonville, Kentucky on its way north on the Henderson Subdivision on October 12, 2020.
Madisonville’s remodeled train station (opened in September 1929) at 38 West Arch Street station is currently being used as a Kentucky Innovation Station, which is a co-working and business-incubation space.
Small-business owner-operators, traveling professionals and students can work independently of one another, but in a modernized shared office space, which also houses the offices of Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation.

A bald eagle rests among dead tree roots at Duncan Lake, in Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky on a beautiful fall evening on October 7, 2020. Duncan Lake is located off road 132 from the main road through the park and is open for access till November 1st of each year. It’s closed to access during mating season and opens back up on March 15th.

October 3, 2020 – SavaTrans (SVTX) 1982 and Evansville Western Railway 4519 wait for a fresh crew as they head up an empty coal train after unloading at the Dock at West Franklin, Indiana. The Chris Cline Group are owners of the company “Savatrans” which purchased three ES44AC locomotives numbered to represent the Penn State Championship football years # 1912, 1982, & 1986. The company operates from Sugar Camp Mine in Akin, IL to Abee, IN near Mount Vernon/West Franklin, IN area.

October 3, 2020 – Seems like myself and several other railfans waited forever for NS 167 to finish its work at Princeton, Indiana and finally begin to move east and to our delight its counterpart 168 westbound showed up just in time for me to capture this meet with my drones camera. It wasn’t planned, as we weren’t sure how long before 168 would arrive, but I’ll take it!
In the past I could never get this shot as it’s way too far from either crossing that’s close to this point. I am totally loving the new look the camera on the drone gives me these days and the spots it allows me to shoot from! As I tell my fellow railfans, we can railfan anywhere as everywhere is new for me!
